Burgas Through Children's Eyes: An Architectural Exhibition

In an atmosphere of celebration and creative euphoria, the Private Primary School "Celestin Frenet" celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The event is combined with an impressive exhibition entitled "Burgas through Children"s Eyes" which presents the results of ten years of work on introducing architectural lessons for the youngest students.

The exhibition, located on Aleksandrovska Street, between "Kompasa" and the Municipality, from September 30 to October 19, is the culmination of a four-year architecture course included in the school"s curriculum.

The works of students from grades 3, 4, and 5 present an original look at the urban environment. The little ones analyzed emblematic places in Burgas, offering their own ideas for their improvement through models, games, and visual projects.

The exhibition is not just a demonstration of children"s talent, but shows how children see their city " its spaces, character, and potential for development.

It emphasizes the original perspective of the youngest on the urban environment, analyzes their needs and desires in the modern city, and demonstrates their ability to actively participate in planning and design processes.

Architecture lessons at the Private Primary School "Celestin Frenet" are an important part of the curriculum and prove that even in the primary course it is possible to form an active civic position, to cultivate aesthetics, empathy, and responsibility.

The applied methodology, combining problem-based learning and a multidisciplinary approach, successfully develops creativity, confidence, teamwork skills, and lifelong learning skills.

The exhibition "Burgas through Children"s Eyes" was realized with the support of the Burgas Municipality, the Chamber of Architects "Burgas Regional Council", and the Union of Architects "Burgas", showcasing the successful cooperation between the educational institution and local authorities.

The exhibition is expected to attract great interest, not only from parents and teachers but also from the entire community, demonstrating the potential of children_q_s creativity to shape a better future for Burgas.
