Burgas - The Sea City with a rich and diverse history
Burgas is a modern, lively and beautiful city, located on the Black Sea coast. However, behind its contemporary appearance lies a long and interesting history dating back more than a thousand years. The city has gone through various stages of development, transforming from an ancient settlement of the Thracians, Romans and Byzantines into a vibrant coastal town, and later into a dynamic university and tourist center.
How Sunny Beach was created
The Sunny Beach resort marks 50 years since its creation. It was designed and built in the late 1950s as a modern tourist complex, which quickly became one of the most popular holiday destinations for Bulgarian and foreign tourists. The resort has gone through various stages of development, marking a number of important events and achievements, including the registration of the first foreign tourist, the opening of the first hotels and restaurants, the holding of the "Golden Orpheus" festival, and reaching millions of visitors.
