The pain that does not subside: Why is road safety a cause for each of us?
"My heart hurts... I don't know if that's possible from a medical point of view. They say the heart doesn't hurt. But believe me – it hasn't stopped hurting." These are the words of a mother who lost her child in a car accident. Her story is not just a sad tale – it is a call for reason.
Life has priority! Let us slow down so we don't stop time for someone forever.
On June 29 – National Road Safety Day, the entire society unites around one goal: protecting life. Every day we make choices on the road – as drivers, passengers, or pedestrians. These decisions determine not only our future but also that of the people around us.
Why is safe behavior a cultural value?
- Education by example: Children learn from us. The formation of protective behavior patterns must begin at the earliest age.
- Ethics and tolerance: The road is not a place for aggression, but a space we share.
- Responsibility to the law: Respect for the rules is the best insurance for each of us.
Pomorie Municipality and the State Agency for Road Safety call for more responsibility. Change starts with each one of us.
