Women as Subjects of Power: A New Era in Governance
The University of National and World Economy (UNWE) hosted the significant forum "Women as Subjects of Power". The event, organized by the "More Women in Politics" Association and the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, highlighted the role of women in strategic decision-making.
"The presence of women in making important decisions is not only necessary but also valuable for the development of a modern and democratic society," emphasized Evelina Tsileva, chairwoman of the association.
Key highlights from the discussion:
- Political will: The increasing number of women in the cabinet and the election of a woman as President of the National Assembly are a clear sign of trust in professionalism.
- Modern governance: The pursuit of justice requires balanced gender representation.
- High-level attendance: The forum brought together ministers, rectors, diplomats, and representatives of regulatory bodies.
Among the officials who delivered welcoming remarks were the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova, Deputy Minister of Economy Mihaela Karadimova, Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, and Head of the EC Representation Yordanka Chobanova.
