We are witnessing a troubling trend that affects the economy and leads to undesirable consequences, said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov during today's blitz control. According to him, linking a number of remunerations to the average wage leads to a distortion of economic opportunities and the injection of additional inflation.
Against this backdrop, the Prime Minister emphasizes the seriousness of the discrepancies that exist in the payments of medical professionals in hospitals. He highlights the need to effectively solve this problem. "The question is not whether it should be done, but how," he said, referring specifically to the increase in the salaries of young doctors.
The Prime Minister clearly expressed his position on the approach that should be taken. He does not share the understanding that remuneration should be linked to the average wage. Instead, he insists on focusing on the remuneration frameworks within the healthcare system itself, as well as on the proper distribution of the different components in the formation of remuneration in hospitals.
In response to these statements, the chairman of "We Continue the Change" Asen Vasilev raised an important question. He noted the absence of a representative from the Ministry of Finance in the working group, created in September in order to find a solution to the problem of the salaries of young doctors. Prime Minister Zhelyazkov undertook to draw the ministers' attention to this matter.
