Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the peace plan proposal, discussed with the US and Europe, contains "correct points." However, sensitive issues remain to be discussed with US President Donald Trump, Reuters reported, cited by BTA.
"At the moment, after Geneva, the points are fewer, no longer 28, and many correct elements have been included." Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address.
"Our team has already reported today on the new draft for the steps, and this is truly the right approach. The sensitive issues, the most delicate points, I will discuss with President Trump," he added.
Zelenskyy stated that the process of drafting a final document will be difficult. And Ukraine appreciates the assistance offered by other countries, as well as the "constructive approach" of the US.
He also said that it is in Russia's interest to disrupt the peace process. And he warned Ukrainians to pay special attention to air attack warnings in the coming days and weeks, "as we fully understand who we are dealing with."
Zelenskyy stated that if negotiations to end the war continue, "there should be no rockets, nor massive strikes against Ukraine and our people. This is something that the powerful in the world can guarantee."
