Modernization of a strategic road artery in Burgas
The comprehensive renovation of "Targovska" Street, one of the busiest road arteries in the "South-West" industrial zone, has been completed. The project is of critical importance as it directly connects the "Meden Rudnik" residential complex with the main "Zahari Stoyanov" Boulevard.
"This street is key because it provides good conditions for businesses and excellent connectivity between "Meden Rudnik" and the city's new business zone," commented Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
Key project parameters:
- Improved infrastructure: A new storm sewer system has been built and the asphalt pavement has been completely replaced with increased load-bearing capacity for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Safe traffic: Two active 3.5-meter lanes, new sidewalks, and parking areas have been created.
- Bicycle accessibility: A two-way asphalt bicycle lane has been built, separated from the sidewalk by tactile paving for pedestrian safety.
- Technical improvements: New street lighting has been installed and an underground cable route has been laid.
Despite the daily heavy traffic and work in close proximity to over 50 commercial bases, the renovation was completed on an accelerated schedule without interrupting access for companies to their facilities.
