The procedure for determining the final route of the water pipelines connected to the water supply of the settlements “Ostritsa 1“ and “Ostritsa 2“ near the Burgas district of “Banevo“ has begun, the municipality's press center announced.

Within the framework of the current stage, the locations for the construction of new water reservoirs and pumping stations are being specified. After the finalization of the procedures, the exact value of the investment will be determined. This will allow the municipal administration to apply for funding for the actual implementation of the construction activities.

BTA recalls that efforts to regulate the territories for the new routes began more than six years ago, when the Municipal Council in Burgas gave permission to develop a comprehensive Detailed Urban Plan (DUP), including a street regulation plan, providing for new streets, neighborhoods and infrastructure corridors.

More than 30 objections received necessitated the revision of the initial plans, so that existing buildings would not be affected during the construction of the street network.

In May 2021, a new public discussion was held, and in August of the same year, the corrected project was submitted for coordination with the operating companies. “Elektrorazpredelenie Yug“ coordinated the documentation in 2023, and “Vik – Burgas“ - a year later.

Last summer, the final DUP was approved by the municipal councilors. The plan came into force in mid-December, which allowed the current stage of engineering design to begin.
