Today, on the Day of the National Enlighteners, not only a memory, but also a call for vigilance faces us, as the chairman of the BSP and Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov noted in his post on the party's Facebook page. The day, celebrated as a symbol of national consciousness and enlightenment, is turning into a matter of personal responsibility and direction.

According to Zafirov, the act of enlightenment is not just a part of the past, but a living force, rooted in everyone who strives to build, create, and believe in the potential of Bulgaria. He emphasizes that we live in a time of opportunity, in the conditions of a stable Bulgaria, integrated into the European cultural space, where knowledge, education, and spirituality must occupy a central place in public relations. The enlightener of today, according to him, does not carry a pen, but conscience and courage, and calls on ordinary citizens to be active participants in this process.

It is everyone's duty to build trust, to promote reason, and to work with care for the future, Zafirov emphasizes. He sent his congratulations to all those who continue to shine with their example - teachers, artists, scientists, journalists, volunteers, and citizens with an active position. Bulgaria has a future because it has awakened people, Zafirov concluded, ending with the strong words: Bulgaria will always be the State of the spirit!
