BSP marked 135 years since the Buzludzha Congress
Thousands of socialists gathered on the Historical Meadow below Buzludzha Peak to commemorate the 135th anniversary of the founding of the organized socialist movement in Bulgaria. The event was held under the motto "For socialism with a future".
"BSP will not be spoken of in the past tense. BSP is a party with a future because it is necessary," declared party leader Krum Zarkov.
A plan for the restoration of the Left
Krum Zarkov outlined a clear path for development based on three pillars:
- Consolidation: Unification around common goals.
- Organization: A new draft statute, adequate to the contemporary political situation.
- Realization: Practical steps to address the mistakes of the past.
Zarkov emphasized that the BSP opposes a society that tolerates corruption and fraud, betting instead on honest labor.
Support for Iliana Iotova
The BSP chairman described the support for Iliana Iotova as completely logical and natural. He praised her work to date as head of state, describing her as a worthy unifier of the nation.
Summer university and discussions
Following the political rally, thematic workshops were held, dedicated to the connection between the left, trade unions, and artificial intelligence. In parallel, a petition was launched against the gambling model for securing the old age of Bulgarian citizens.
