International Youth Day: A Call for Support and Dialogue
On August 12, we celebrate International Youth Day. On this occasion, Vice President Iliana Iotova sent a strong message to society, emphasizing the need for active support and understanding for young people in Bulgaria.
"Let us give young people not only the freedom to choose their path, but also the confidence that they belong to a society that hears, understands, and supports them," wrote Iotova.
Responsibility to the Future
The Vice President highlighted the role of the environment and the values that adults create for the individuals of tomorrow. According to her, youth is a time for dreams, discovery, and important first choices, during which young people should not be left alone to face challenges.
Key Calls for Better Youth Policy:
- Encouraging human closeness over digital screens.
- Combating radicalization within the "filter bubbles" of social networks.
- Overcoming alienation and aggression through dialogue.
- Creating communities where there is room for differing opinions without hatred.
