During the night, the cloud cover from the northeast will continue to increase and thicken, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced. In the southwestern half of the country, clear weather will prevail for most of the night, with scattered high clouds. The wind will weaken, and in many areas, it will subside, in the northern areas it will be from the northeast and light. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 3° and 2°, in Sofia – around 0°.
Tomorrow the wind throughout the country will be from the northeast, it will strengthen and with it cold air will rush in. Cloudy weather will prevail and in places there will be light snowfall. Initially in Eastern Bulgaria, the precipitation will be rain, but with the cooling, it will turn into snow. In the northeastern regions before noon, there will be conditions for black ice. Rain will fall during most of the day in the Upper Thracian Lowland and along the Southern Black Sea coast, but there too in the evening, it will mix with snow. Almost without precipitation and with more sunny hours, the weather will remain in the southwestern regions. Temperatures will drop and by 2 p.m. will be from minus 3° - minus 2° in the northeast to 8°-10° in the extreme southwestern regions, in Sofia – around 8°.
Atmospheric pressure is higher than the monthly average, it will not change significantly during the day. In the evening it will begin to rise.
Along the Black Sea coast, cloudy weather will prevail, with rain, which along the northern coast with cooling will turn into snow. A moderate northeast wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be from 1°-2° along the northern coast to 7° along the southern coast. The sea water temperature is 8°-10°. The sea swell will be around 3 Beaufort.
Over the mountains, the cloud cover will be significant and there will be light snowfall. The precipitation will be in fewer places in the massifs in Southwestern Bulgaria. A moderate wind will blow from the north-northwest, which will gradually turn from the northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 3°, at 2000 meters – around minus 2°.
Over the weekend there will be significant cloud cover, in the eastern and mountainous regions isolated light snowfall is not excluded. The wind will be moderate, along the Black Sea coast - strong from the north-northeast, and with it the cooling will continue. On Sunday, the minimum temperatures will be between minus 12° and minus 7°, and the maximum - from minus 5° - minus 6° in the northern areas to 2°-3° in the extreme southern regions.
