On July 14 in Bulgaria, the weather will be mostly sunny, with a more noticeable increase in cloud cover expected over the eastern and mountainous regions, where short-term showers cannot be ruled out. The wind will weaken in many places, and temperatures will rise, according to the weekly forecast from NIMH.

Burgas and the region

In Burgas and the region, the day will be variably sunny with conditions for temporary showers. The expected air temperature is around 28°, and the probability of precipitation is about 74%, with the amount of rain estimated at 2.6 mm.

The wind will have an approximate speed of 7 m/s, meaning it is moderate. The sea water temperature along the Southern Black Sea coast will remain suitable for summer tourism, estimated to be around 23°–25°.

For swimming along the coast, the preliminary assessment is a yellow flag due to the likely wind and short showers, but in case of local increases in wave height, a switch to a more cautious regime is not ruled out.

Sofia and the region

In Sofia, the day will be hot and mostly sunny, with temporary increases in cloud cover. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34°, and the probability of precipitation remains low, at about 4%.

The wind in the capital and the region will be light, around 1.6 m/s, meaning it is calm to light. Sea water is not recorded for this region, and a safety assessment for swimming is not applicable.

Eastern Bulgaria

In Eastern Bulgaria, the weather will be more unstable than in the rest of the country, with more clouds and possible short-term showers. Temperatures will generally be at summer levels, but will be locally slightly lower due to cloud cover and maritime influence.

The wind will be light to moderate, with an easterly and northeasterly component, and the probability of rain remains higher compared to the western half of the country. Along the coast, the sea water will be around 23°–25°, and for swimming, the benchmark is a yellow flag due to the variable conditions.

Western Bulgaria

In Western Bulgaria, there will be more sunshine hours and a more stable atmosphere, especially in the lowland areas. Maximum temperatures will be at summer levels and will rise compared to previous days, and the probability of precipitation will be lower than in the eastern part of the country.

The wind will remain light, in many places almost calm. There is no sea water, and a safety assessment for swimming is not applicable for the inland regions.

In the mountains

In the mountainous regions, the day will start sunny, but in the afternoon, mainly over the western massifs, cumulus clouds will develop and it will rain in isolated places. The maximum temperature at 1200 meters will be around 25°, and at 2000 meters – around 20°.

The wind will blow from the northeast, with moderate strength. Sea water does not apply to this sector, and a swimming assessment is not applicable.

Black Sea coast

Along the Black Sea coast, mostly sunny weather will prevail, but temporary increases in cloud cover are possible in some areas. Temperatures will be between 27° and 30°, and the wind will be light to moderate from the northeast.

The sea water temperature will remain in the range of 23°–25°, and the sea state will be relatively calm. For swimming, the preliminary assessment is a green flag, and in case of local wind intensification – a yellow flag.

In the coming days, the weather will remain dynamic: after a short stabilization, unstable air mass with cumulus-rain clouds, precipitation, thunderstorms, and possible hail are expected again on Thursday and Friday in many places in the country. Maximum temperatures on Friday will drop to 25°–30°, and will become warmer again over the weekend.
