Temperature and precipitation forecast for June
According to meteorologist Mariana Popova from the NIMH, June will be a month with temperatures around and above the norm. Expected minimum values are between 8 and 13 degrees, while maximums will reach 32-37 degrees.
June is often the rainiest month for Western Bulgaria and mountain regions, and hailstorms are often possible.
- First half of the month: Unstable air mass, afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be between 28 and 33 degrees.
- Second half of the month: Stabilization of the weather, less precipitation and an increase in temperatures above climatic norms.
Characteristic features
June is distinguished by typical summer values, but also by an increased risk of hailstorms. In mountain regions, it is not excluded that there could even be snowfall, although this happens rarely – once every ten years.
