Heatwave sweeps across Europe
In the coming days, the western part of the continent and the British Isles will be subjected to extreme heat with temperatures of up to 40 degrees. In Bulgaria, the weather will be hot, but without such extreme values, with forecasts of temperatures around and above 35-38 degrees on the hottest days.
The wind will play a key role throughout the week, bringing dynamics to the temperatures and short-term showers in some places.
Daily forecast
- Wednesday: Dynamic weather with temporary increases in cloud cover and strengthening wind. Thunderstorms are possible in the mountains and northeastern regions. Maximum temperatures: 32-37 degrees.
- Thursday: Noticeable cooling with daytime temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees and precipitation in the southern and eastern regions.
- Friday and Saturday: Temperatures rise again. Saturday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the week with peaks of up to 39 degrees in the lowlands.
- Sunday: Sunny and hot weather, with a slight decrease in temperatures by 1-2 degrees and afternoon showers in the southwestern regions.
