Drivers must be extremely cautious when passing through the Southern Road Junction of Veliko Tarnovo due to upcoming repair interventions. From July 10, 2025, starting at 9 AM, a temporary traffic organization scheme will be introduced.
The key change involves a partial blockade of the road connection between Ruse and Stara Zagora. Traffic towards Stara Zagora will be redirected to the lanes for Sofia and Varna, which requires additional attention from drivers.
Experts from the Road Infrastructure Agency are introducing strict safety measures. The maximum allowed speed in the affected section will be reduced to 50 kilometers per hour. Traffic will be regulated through additional road signage and the presence of specially instructed signalmen.
The planned activities include replacement of bridge expansion joints, with the expected duration of repairs being approximately one calendar month. Vehicle drivers are called upon to show exceptional vigilance and strictly follow the given instructions.
