From December 1st, the traffic organization in the area of the 275th km of the Trakia motorway in the Yambol region will be temporarily changed, announced the Road Infrastructure Agency (API). Due to repair works in the lane for Burgas, traffic will pass in the active lane.
The traffic restriction is due to asphalt works during the construction of a “window” in the central dividing strip of the motorway. This will ensure the passage from one lane to the other during the upcoming repair of joints of a bridge structure in the section, explained API.
Under favorable weather conditions, it is planned that the work in the section will be completed next week, the road agency pointed out.
Yesterday, the asphalting in the lane for Burgas in the section between the 262nd and 273rd kilometer of the motorway in the Sliven region was completed, BTA recalls. By Sunday, the barrier systems are expected to be installed, and next week – after the marking is applied, traffic will be restored.
Work remains to be done in a 300-meter section near the 262nd kilometer – repair of the joint of the railway overpass. Even after the traffic is launched there, the repair works will continue and traffic will pass in two directions in the lane for Sofia, with one lane in each direction. The completion of these activities is expected at the end of 2025.
