Temporary traffic organization on the "Trakia" motorway
The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) has announced upcoming repair works on the "Trakia" motorway. Chemical treatment of roadside vegetation will be carried out at night, which necessitates a change in traffic organization.
The activities will be carried out from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Traffic details:
- Section: Between the 34th and 55th km of the motorway.
- Restrictions: Work will be concentrated in the central median, with the fast lane being restricted in stages in both directions.
- Alternative: Traffic will be directed through the remaining open lanes.
The RIA reminds that the section from 0 to the 34th km has already undergone the same treatment. Drivers are urged to be extremely careful, follow road signs, and avoid risky overtaking.
Completion of repairs before the active season
The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Shishkov, and the Chairman of the RIA, Eng. Alexander Todorov, have assured the public that all current repair activities on the road network will be completed before the start of the active tourist season to ensure smooth travel.
