Naval sailors rescued two people from an overturned boat near Cape Atiya

The crew of the Navy minelayer "Sirius" rescued two people after their boat capsized in the Black Sea. The survivors are in good condition.

Heroic Naval Rescue Operation in the Black Sea

The Bulgarian Naval Forces conducted a successful rescue operation in the Black Sea after two people found themselves in a critical situation near Cape Atiya.

The incident occurred this morning around 8:20 AM, when a boat with two people on board capsized in the sea.

Rapid response and professionalism

The distress signal was immediately issued by the duty officer at the roadstead post of the Naval Base in Burgas, who witnessed the incident. By order of Flotilla Admiral Radko Penev, the crew of the minelayer "Sirius" responded to the scene.

After being rescued, the victims were transported to the Naval Base in Burgas. A medical examination confirmed that they are in good overall condition. The Navy emphasized that this case is further proof of the high level of readiness of military sailors to respond to crisis situations at sea.
