With the "Phoenix" 2025 tournament and an Open Day at the Regional Military Police Department ("Military Police") - Sofia, the professional holiday of the "Military Police" Service was celebrated.

The event, which brought together many employees and guests, turned into a demonstration of professionalism and openness. The atmosphere was upbeat, and expectations for the upcoming competitions were palpable.

At the center of the celebration was the traditional military police tournament. Teams from all regional structures of the service participated in the competition - Sofia, Plovdiv, Sliven, Varna and Pleven, each of which sent its best representatives. The atmosphere was electrified as the contestants prepared to go through a series of challenging trials.

In the end, the team of the Regional Military Police Department-Sofia triumphed, taking first place with an impressive time of 6 minutes and 14 seconds. The team of the Regional Military Police Department-Varna took second place, whose representatives showed remarkable endurance, finishing with 6 minutes and 16 seconds. Third place went to the Regional Military Police Department-Plovdiv, who finished with 6 minutes and 50 seconds. The competitors had to demonstrate their skills in four different disciplines, which tested both their physical fitness and their ability to work in a team. They went through pushing a stalled car, crossing a horizontal beam, applying a tourniquet and carrying an injured person over obstacles, performed 34 "burpee"-type exercises per team and had to hit a bell located over four meters high.

The military police tournament is only part of the service's efforts to present itself to the public. "We want to publicize what our activity consists of, because a large part of its activity remains hidden," said the acting director of the "Military Police" Service, Colonel Hristiyan Hristov. He stressed the importance of such events for building internal integrity among employees.

Colonel Hristov stressed that despite the good equipment, the service is striving for an even higher level. He shared about the new acquisitions of the "Military Police", among which an anti-drone system stands out, which was demonstrated during a special arrest before the tournament. "We will do everything possible to put this system into operation as quickly as possible, because this is how we show how flexible we are," he said.

In connection with future plans, Colonel Hristov shared the ambition to create an international headquarters of a military police battalion. This headquarters will lead four companies, including the Bulgarian one, and will have a key role in wartime, operating on the territory of a given country with a staff of up to 600 people. Colonel Hristov added that at the moment the service is almost at full strength compared to the state.
