A Tradition for a Clean Sea in Sozopol
Before the start of the active summer season on the Southern Black Sea coast, dozens of divers joined forces in the traditional seabed cleanup campaign in Sozopol. The initiative, which is taking place for the ninth consecutive year, aims to make coastal waters safer and cleaner for both tourists and marine life.
The initiative is key to protecting the Black Sea ecosystem before the start of the active tourist season.
Volunteers dived in the port area, from where they removed various types of waste. The District Governor of Burgas, Dobromir Gyulev, also joined the campaign, personally supporting the cause as a diver.
