From May 8th to May 10th, the Giro d`Italia – Bulgaria Grande Partenza cycling tour will take place. In connection with the race, phased traffic restrictions will be introduced on national roads in the districts of Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, and Sofia.
Stage Schedule:
- May 8 (Burgas): Start at 14:00 from Nesebar, passing through Aheloy, Pomorie, Burgas, and Sozopol. Finish around 17:00 at "Demokratsiya" Blvd., Burgas.
- May 9 (Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Veliko Tarnovo): Start at 12:00 from Burgas. The route includes Aytos, Karnobat, Sliven, Elena, Lyaskovets, and a finish in Veliko Tarnovo around 17:00.
- May 10 (Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Sofia): Start at 13:00 from Plovdiv. The route passes through Pazardzhik, Kostenets, Borovets, Samokov, and ends in front of the "Saint Alexander Nevsky" Cathedral in Sofia around 17:00.
The Road Infrastructure Agency urges drivers to be careful, to keep a safe distance, and to follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.
Traffic on the affected sections will be restored in stages after the column passes and upon authorization from the Ministry of Interior authorities.
