Important information for travelers on Trakia and Hemus motorways
The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) appeals to drivers to be careful over the weekend due to active repair work. The goal of the construction work is to prepare the road network for the intense summer traffic to the Black Sea coast.
Where are repairs taking place on Trakia motorway?
All repair activities are expected to be completed by the end of June.
- Sofia region: Repairs between the 33rd and 39th km (direction Burgas) and between the 55th and 60th km (direction Sofia).
- Stara Zagora: Repair of an 11-kilometer section (218th to 229th km) in the lane towards Burgas.
- Yambol: Restrictions between the 274th and 285th km due to the replacement of expansion joints on structures.
Current situation on Hemus motorway
Repair work is also being carried out in the Sofia region on the Hemus motorway in the section between the 23rd and 32nd km (direction Varna). Traffic is being diverted two-way in the lane towards Sofia, and reversible traffic will be introduced if necessary.
