Political pressure for resignation in Varna
The parliamentary group of "Vazrazhdane" has officially demanded the resignation of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev. The reason is the large-scale illegal construction in the "Baba Alino" area, which has sparked a wave of public discontent and protests in the seaside capital.
"Mr. Mayor, resign and give the floor to the people of Varna, let them decide the future of our city," stated Member of Parliament Kosta Stoyanov.
Lack of control and political accountability
- Systemic problems: "Vazrazhdane" emphasizes that the "Baba Alino" case is not an isolated incident, but part of a series of events that have shaken confidence in the local government.
- Administrative inaction: According to Kosta Stoyanov, the mayor bears direct political responsibility for the fact that citizens' reports remain without consequences and illegal construction has continued for years.
- Crisis of trust: The city needs an administration free from scandals and suspicions of corruption, which, according to the opposition, is impossible under the current leadership.
What comes next?
"Vazrazhdane" declared that they will continue to monitor the case closely and will insist on full transparency and investigations into all circumstances surrounding the construction in the area. The resignation is presented as the only honest solution to restore the citizens' trust in the governance of Varna.
