Conflict in state governance
The chairman of the parliamentary group of "We Continue the Change", Nikolay Denkov, leveled sharp criticism at Prime Minister Rumen Radev. According to him, our country has fallen into a state of "political schizophrenia", in which the ruling authorities hold completely opposite positions on key issues.
"There is no such state in which the prime minister does one thing and the foreign minister does another," Denkov stated to journalists.
Contradictory signals about the "coalition of the willing"
Denkov highlighted the discrepancy in the actions of the executive branch:
- Denkov's position: Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova signed a declaration in support of the "coalition of the willing", which provides aid to Ukraine.
- Rumen Radev's position: The Prime Minister categorically stated in Paris that Bulgaria is not participating in coalitions demanding military aid, as he believes in a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
Radev's arguments
The Prime Minister emphasized that the conflict should not be prolonged through military means, but through a strong diplomatic mission aimed at ending the escalation. Radev confirmed that he had received a personal invitation from Emmanuel Macron, but preferred to maintain neutrality regarding military aid.
