Night-time repairs restrict traffic on road I-9
Travelers along the Black Sea coast should plan their route carefully over the coming week. From June 29 (Monday) to July 2 (Thursday), in the interval from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM, the movement of all vehicles on road I-9 will be restricted.
The prohibition covers the section from the end of the town of Obzor to Sunny Beach (from km 172 to km 203).
Why is the traffic halt necessary?
The restriction is being introduced to carry out urgent asphalt paving works. The goal of the repair activity is to increase traffic safety and ensure greater comfort while traveling during the active summer season.
Detour routes and signaling
During the repair activities, drivers can use the following alternative route:
- Road III-208 Provadia – Aytos
It is important to note that only vehicles with special movement status will be allowed through the closed section. The section will be marked with the necessary road signs and light signaling.
Advice to drivers
The Road Infrastructure Agency urges drivers to be careful, to follow the rules of the road, and to observe speed limits. Do not attempt risky overtakes that jeopardize the safety of all other travelers.
