In connection with the year-end closing and data archiving activities in the information systems of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) for 2025 and preparation for their operation in 2026, the data on the health insurance status of individuals will not be updated in the period from January 1 to January 5, 2026.
During the cited period, the information on health insurance status, accessible through the e-service from the official website of the NRA, will be current according to data received by the NRA as of December 31, 2025, inclusive.
In connection with the introduction of the Euro in Bulgaria and the preparation of payment systems, health insurance contributions ordered in the period from January 1, 2026 to January 4, 2026, inclusive, will be received by the NRA's account at the BNB on January 5, 2026. Considering the performance of all the above-mentioned activities, during this period the Agency will also not accept card payments, including through the e-services "Statement of obligations with the possibility of payments"; "Payment of obligations", in connection with which the data on health insurance rights will not be updated.
Individuals with interrupted health insurance rights at the moment can avoid the adverse consequences of this by paying the due health insurance contributions by noon on December 30, 2025. We draw attention to the fact that for the restoration of rights, it is mandatory before payment to have a declaration form 7 submitted, on the basis of which obligations for health insurance should be calculated. Information on whether there are such obligations can be seen through the e-service "Statement of obligations with the possibility of payment" or at an NRA office.
