2026 Fire Hazard Season in Pomorie Municipality
By official order, the Mayor of Pomorie Municipality has announced the beginning of the fire hazard season in agricultural lands, which covers the period from June 01 to November 01, 2026.
With a view to protecting the harvest and preventing fires, strict restrictive measures are being introduced for all farmers and citizens.
Main prohibitions:
- Lighting open fires and smoking in crop areas is prohibited.
- Parking vehicles near crops (less than 50 m) is prohibited.
- Burning of stubble and plant waste is strictly prohibited.
Fines and penalties:
Violators are subject to serious financial penalties:
- For a first offense: a fine of 1,500 to 6,000 BGN.
- For a repeat offense: a fine of 2,000 to 12,000 BGN.
Requirements for farmers:
When starting harvesting in areas larger than 100 decares, written notification to the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population (RD FSPP) is mandatory. It is also required to provide a standby tractor with an attached plow for preventive purposes.
