Repair works on the Danube Bridge at Ruse

The major renovation of the Danube Bridge is progressing, with the installation of reinforcement for the new reinforced concrete panels now complete across the entire 320-meter section. Concrete pouring for 220 meters of the track is already a fact, and the remaining part will be completed within days.

Important: On June 4, traffic on the facility will be completely stopped to ensure the strength of the concrete joints.

These measures are necessary as the technological process requires a period without vibrations to guarantee the maximum strength of the concrete between the joints of the repaired sections.

What drivers need to know?

The Road Infrastructure Agency reminds that the repair is being carried out in stages, with traffic moving in both directions in the open lane. The deadline for completion of the entire project is June 2026. Drivers are urged to strictly observe the speed limit of 20 km/h to avoid damage to the newly repaired sections by oversized vehicles.
