In a week, the Varna police marked an impressive result, detaining a total of 22 individuals, including four women, on suspicion of acquiring and possessing narcotic substances for the purpose of distribution. The intensified police measures in the coastal city led to a significant number of arrests and the initiation of numerous criminal proceedings. The atmosphere in the city is tense, as residents discuss the increasing presence of drugs among young people.

The drugs found on the detainees include a wide spectrum of prohibited substances. Police officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin, and synthetic cannabinoid intended for vape devices. These findings highlight the complexity of the drug problem and the variety of available substances. A total of 16 rapid and 7 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated, which indicates the intensity of the police work on these cases.

Particularly alarming is the case of a student from an elite Varna school, detained for distributing synthetic cannabinoid among his classmates. The young man was trading the dangerous opiate, intended for vape devices, both in and around the educational institution. His detention was carried out immediately after a drug sale, which highlights the speed of the police response. The sight of the police taking action in front of the doors of the educational institution shocked many of the students and teachers.

Another case that caused serious public attention is the detention of a 26-year-old man from Varna, accused of distributing narcotic substances in the residential complex "Vladislav Varnenchik". Methamphetamine was found on him, one of the strongest stimulants with a high potential for developing addiction. The police launched a pre-trial proceeding against him. During a subsequent search of the detainee's home, 18 packets of methamphetamine prepared for sale, dry grassy mass – marijuana, and a tablet of "mdma" were found. A measure of restraint "detention" for a period of up to 72 hours has been imposed on him. The neighbors comment on their anxiety about what is happening.
