Shocking discovery: Drugs and a baby in the same car
The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has charged 39-year-old Yu. N. with possession of high-risk narcotic substances with the intent to distribute. The man was detained during an operation by the First District Police Department of the SDVR.
A large quantity of cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), cannabis, amphetamine, and methamphetamine was found in the detainee's vehicle.
The situation is particularly alarming as a four-month-old baby was also traveling in the vehicle during the inspection on August 12.
Upcoming measures
- The man has been remanded in custody for a period of up to 72 hours.
- The prosecutor's office is set to file a request with the court for a permanent measure of "remand in custody."
- The pre-trial proceedings continue under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office.
