Large-scale specialized operation against drug trafficking in Sunny Beach
Four people have been detained during a large-scale specialized police operation conducted in the Sunny Beach resort complex. The action covered numerous entertainment venues and commercial establishments in the area.
During the inspections, officers from the "Criminal" and "Economic Police" departments of the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior discovered significant quantities of prohibited substances and illegal goods.
Confiscated substances and violations
The specialized operations resulted in the seizure of:
- Marijuana, methamphetamine, and ecstasy
- Vape devices containing HHC (hexahydrocannabinol)
- Nearly 172 canisters of nitrous oxide (laughing gas)
- Tobacco without an excise tax label
Pre-trial proceedings and investigation
Two pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in connection with the case – one for possession of ecstasy tablets and methamphetamine, and the second for possession of marijuana. Additionally, five case files have been opened regarding the identified violations involving nitrous oxide and illegal tobacco.
