Varna: 117 Years of Independence

Varna solemnly celebrated the 117th anniversary of the declaration of Bulgarias independence. The celebrations included a military ritual, a prayer service, and a folklore program, uniting the city in a festive mood and patriotism.

Varna marked the 117th anniversary of the declaration of Bulgaria"s independence with a solemn ritual, filled with patriotism and national self-esteem.

The city transformed, as if to emphasize the importance of this historic day. The central square "Independence_q_, the heart of Varna, was the epicenter of the events.

Under the gaze of hundreds of citizens and guests, a representative company of the Navy performed the ceremonial raising of the national flag, accompanied by an imposing military ritual, whose sounds echoed in the hearts of all present.

The atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride and respect for the past.

After the military ritual

After the military ritual, priests from the Varna and Velikopreslav Metropolis served a prayer service for the prosperity of the Bulgarian people.

With prayers and blessings, they turned to a higher power for the prosperity and unity of Bulgaria.

The tension, palpable at the beginning, dissipated with a feeling of calm and hope.

The honor guard marched in a solemn parade in front of the raised flag, accompanied by rhythmic footfalls, symbolizing the strength and dignity of the Bulgarian army.

The celebrations continued

The celebrations continued with a lively folk program filled with national color.

Traditional songs and dances captivated the square, filling it with joy and merriment.

At one point, to the sounds of a familiar melody, many of the inhabitants and guests of Varna joined a city-wide horo (Bulgarian circle dance), turning the square into a huge, pulsating circle of dancing people.

The city came alive, united by shared history and festive mood.
