A unique volleyball tournament is being held in Nessebar, organized entirely on the initiative of the local Ukrainian community, without any support or funding from the Bulgarian authorities or local institutions. The idea comes from the union of sports enthusiasts who want to promote volleyball as a means of a healthy lifestyle and intercultural communication.
The program is written in the developed regulations for the amateur league "Black Sea", betting on the development of volleyball and support for the informal union of the Ukrainian diaspora.
Organization and format: The competition is attended by mixed teams of 8 to 12 people, each formation necessarily includes a minimum of one lady on the court all the time. Professional athletes from clubs are not allowed. The matches are played in five games and in a round-robin system, with the winner being determined by the number of games won, and in case of a tie - by personal matches.
The financing of the organization is provided by a symbolic share contributed by each team application.
The participants compete in a friendly atmosphere, as the goal is not just ranking, but also creating lasting contacts and mutual assistance between settlers, permanent residents and new friends.
