A triple murder has shocked the Burgas region. 25-year-old Fahri Mustafa is accused of the brutal crime, which took the lives of three members of his family. The victims are his mother, aunt, and sister, and his 7-year-old brother was injured in the incident.
The perpetrator of the heinous act has already been detained by the authorities.
The report of the tragedy was received at the Regional Police Department in Ruen in the early hours of October 21, around 4:14 a.m. Police officers immediately responded to the scene.
According to initial data, the 25-year-old man opened fire on his family members. The 73-year-old aunt, the 47-year-old mother, the 13-year-old sister, and the 7-year-old brother fell victim to the merciless attack.
Despite his injuries, the 7-year-old boy managed to escape from the house and report what had happened.
At the scene of the tragedy, upon the arrival of the police, the house was engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished by a team from the Regional Fire Safety and Population Protection Service - Aitos. After extinguishing the fire, three charred bodies were found during the inspection of the burnt house. In all likelihood, they belong to the aunt, mother, and sister of the perpetrator.
According to unofficial information, the murder was committed with a hunting rifle. Neighbors of the family shared that the 25-year-old man had problems and suffered from a mental illness, for which he received a medical assessment. Recently, Fahri's father, Selim Mustafa, had received a restraining order.
In a comment for NOVA, the former mayor of Ruen Municipality, Husein Ahmed, shared details about the relationships within the family. "The family was problematic. They hardly understood each other, they even have a divorce case at the moment. There was also a police ban for the boy's father to enter this house and he was sleeping somewhere in the neighborhoods. I understand that they cannot find the husband of the woman who was killed, he is still missing. The whole family was in a poor situation. He took the rifle from his uncle", Ahmed pointed out. For his part, the mayor of the village, Dobrin Stoyanov, stated that the suspect in the murders has no previous criminal records.
The injured boy was transported to a hospital by a team from the Emergency Medical Center. The child has an injury in the gluteal region, but there is no danger to his life at the moment.
Employees of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Burgas detained Fahri Mustafa in a forested area at 9:35 a.m.
During the search, Fahri's father, Selim Mustafa, who was declared wanted, was also found. The man was found at his brother Kemal's and denies knowing anything about what happened, reported "Flagman".
The investigation into the case is being conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Burgas. The motives for this brutal crime are yet to be clarified. The atmosphere in the village is heavy. The residents are shocked and devastated by what happened, and neighbors are gathering in front of the family's house, who cannot believe what has happened.
