Three Injured in Fires Across the Country – Highlights from the Last 24 Hours

A total of 41 fires were extinguished in Bulgaria over the last 24 hours. Three people were injured, and firefighters responded to 94 calls. What are the causes and consequences?

Over the past 24 hours, the Main Directorate “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” (GDPSPP) reported 41 fires extinguished in the country.

Fire teams responded to a total of 94 incident reports. Unfortunately, three people were injured as a result of the fires.

Injured

One injured person is a 51-year-old man who sustained burns while performing repair work. He was transported for treatment to the Military Medical Academy (MMA) in Varna.

Two elderly people - a 72-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman, inhaled toxic gases and were also taken for treatment to the toxicology department of the MMA-Varna.

Material Damage and Rescue Operations

25 fires caused direct material damage over the past 24 hours. 48 rescue operations and support operations were carried out.

Also noteworthy are the 5 false alarms, which further burdened the fire department's resources.
