Bloody statistics on Bulgarian roads
Data from the Ministry of the Interior reveal a significant increase in accidents over the past 24 hours. A total of 24 serious accidents have been registered, in which 33 people were injured.
Since the beginning of the year, 2,752 accidents have been registered, in which 199 people have died and 3,425 have been injured.
Monthly data and comparison
For the current month, the statistics also remain alarming:
- 419 serious accidents;
- 28 deaths;
- 545 injured.
Comparative analysis shows a staggering trend – in 2026, the number of road users who died is 29 more compared to the same period in 2025, when there were 170 victims.
The situation in Sofia
In the capital, the situation for the last 24 hours has been relatively calmer, with two people reported injured in 34 accidents.
