For us Bulgarians, the third of March is the day of freedom. Freedom, which we must cherish every moment, because it was won with the self-sacrifice of thousands of our and foreign heroes, who gave their lives so that our Bulgaria could exist today.

Let us be their worthy successors, let us follow their ideals and keep the peace they dreamed of, she urged. Let us remember that this peace is not achieved for free, it is the result of our common efforts and must be defended every day, Nazaryan also wrote.
Today marks 148 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria. Events for the national holiday will be held throughout the country.
