35 Years of the Constitution: Foundation of Modern Bulgaria
Today we mark 35 years since the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria – the supreme law that laid the foundations of our democratic state. This document is not just a legal text, but a social contract that guarantees the principles of the rule of law and the separation of powers.
The Constitution is a guarantor of the stability of the statehood and a benchmark for the development of Bulgarian institutions.

The Ministry of Justice emphasizes that today our responsibility is not only to uphold the letter of the law, but also to work towards:

- Ensuring the independence of the judiciary;
- Increasing public trust in the justice system.

The path to a fairer Bulgaria leads through the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms. We remind you that the official opening of the events marking the 35th anniversary of the Constitutional Court took place in April at the "Revival and Constituent Assembly" museum in Veliko Tarnovo.
