The dramatic crisis in the Russian transport system has reached a critical point, after a series of targeted drone attacks caused massive disruptions in air corridors. The official representative of the transport department, Andrey Nikitin, openly admitted the complete inability of the institution to control the emergency situation.

The scale of the transport collapse is impressive - just over the past weekend, the four leading Moscow airports "Sheremetyevo", "Vnukovo", "Domodedovo" and "Zhukovsky" experienced an unprecedented collapse. The statistics speak volumes: over 1,000 flights were definitively canceled, while nearly 900 suffered significant delays.

The Ministry of Transport is considering coordination with the defense department, but experts acknowledge that there are no effective mechanisms to prevent such incidents. The special "Carpet" plan for temporary closure of airspace remains unpredictable and uncontrollable.

The economic consequences are catastrophic. The first large-scale wave of drone attacks in July caused losses for airlines amounting to more than 250 million US dollars. Airport operators are forced to apply emergency measures, including redirecting flights to backup locations such as St. Petersburg.

The instability in the transport system continues to create serious challenges, with the effect of each incident being felt for weeks. Experts define the situation as an unprecedented threat to the national transport infrastructure.
