US President Donald Trump said his administration would work to permanently halt migration from “third world countries.” This was reported by world agencies and BTA.
The goal of the measure will be to allow the American system to fully recover.
Trump also stated that his administration would stop all federal aid and subsidies for those who are not US citizens, Reuters adds. “I will permanently halt immigration coming from all third world countries to allow the American system to fully recover.” Trump said this on his social media channels.
He also threatened to cancel the millions of permits for the admission of foreigners granted by the government of his predecessor Joe Biden. And to expel anyone who does not represent a “benefit to the US”, adds France Press.
Trump made these comments after an Afghan, who came to the US under a program for the resettlement of at-risk local residents in Afghanistan who had cooperated with Americans, shot two National Guard soldiers – a man and a woman – near the White House. The woman died of her injuries, and the man is in serious condition.
