US President Donald Trump has revealed confidential details of diplomatic communications with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, related to the Russian position on the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. According to media sources, Vladimir Putin presented specific territorial proposals during meetings in Alaska.

During the conversations, Trump emphasized the principled position that the future of disputed territories should be determined solely by the Ukrainian side. At the same time, the president acted as a mediator in conveying Russian intentions.

Bloomberg reveals that Russia has expressed readiness for partial withdrawal from the occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, which would practically mean a temporary freezing of military actions. Trump proposed to help ensure Ukraine's security outside of NATO - an initiative that could potentially find understanding from the Russian side.

Axios adds that during the negotiations, special envoy Steve Whitcoff conveyed Putin's specific "offer": territorial concessions in exchange for stopping military actions. The Russian president stated confidence in the "significant progress" on the front and the potential possibility of full control over the Donetsk region.

Zelensky categorically rejected the Russian interpretation, describing it as a distortion of the real situation. The diplomatic dialogue remains extremely sensitive and tense, with minimal opportunities for quickly reaching an agreement.
