A dramatic traffic incident shook the resort complex Sunny Beach this afternoon when an uncontrollable vehicle caused a chain collision with serious consequences. The event occurred around 1:54 PM on an alley between two hotels, where a rented vehicle became a serious threat to those nearby.

The driver of the car – an 18-year-old youth from Nessebar, immediately after receiving the car, discovered a critical technical problem – a complete lack of braking system. In an attempt to prevent a head-on collision, the driver made a sharp turn to the right, driving the vehicle directly onto the sidewalk.

During this dramatic maneuver, five people were injured – a married couple from Plovdiv, aged 35, their three children aged 4, 6, and 12 years old, as well as a 49-year-old employee from a local hotel. All injured were immediately transported to Burgas University Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Police officers conducted a thorough check of the driver, and tests for alcohol and drugs came back negative. The young driver was detained for up to 24 hours, and an official pre-trial investigation has been initiated to clarify all circumstances.

At the moment, there is no official information about the health condition of the injured, which creates additional tension among the local community and tourists at the resort.
