Severe accident on the Burgas – Marinka road
A total of 12 people were injured in a chain-reaction accident on the Burgas – Marinka road, caused by the unexpected appearance of a wild boar on the roadway. The incident occurred last night around 8:50 PM, shortly after the junction for the "Kraymorie" neighborhood.
"Upon hitting the animal, the vehicle remained blocked in the oncoming lane, which led to the second collision," police reported.
It all began when a car struck the wild animal. Passengers from a bus traveling behind it got out to help push the damaged car. At that moment, a third vehicle, driven by a 71-year-old man, crashed into the disabled car and the people around it.
Condition of the victims
- The family from the third car: The driver has a broken sternum, his wife sustained contusions, and their daughter has a broken collarbone and rib.
- Bus passengers: 9 people were injured (Bulgarian and Turkish citizens), eight of whom were taken to the hospital.
Currently, six people remain hospitalized for treatment, and one woman has been admitted with a concussion. Fortunately, there is no danger to the lives of any of the victims.
