A serious road accident with a fatality occurred on the Trakia motorway around 7:00 PM, announced the spokesperson of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Pazardzhik, Miroslav Stoyanov.
He clarified that in the area of the 68-69 kilometer marker of the motorway in the direction of Burgas, a person was moving on the road between the two lanes and was run over successively by several vehicles, including heavy goods vehicles. The gender and identity of the victim still cannot be established, said Stoyanov.
Teams from the "Road Police" and the Septemvri Regional Police Department are on site.
Traffic in the accident area is not closed, but is being carried out in one lane.
All actions in the case are being carried out under the supervision of the Pazardzhik Regional Prosecutor's Office, added the spokesperson for the Pazardzhik police.
