At least 21 people died in a serious railway accident in Southern Spain. There are around 100 injured, of whom 25 are seriously injured.

The authorities are still clarifying the causes of the incident, in which two high-speed trains collided near the town of Adamus, in the Andalusian province of Cordoba.

A high-speed train belonging to an Italian private company with 100 passengers derailed while traveling from Malaga to Madrid and fell onto the adjacent track. This caused a train of the Spanish company "Renfe", in which about 300 people were traveling, to also derail.
