Grim statistics: Road conditions in Bulgaria
Over the past 24 hours, 26 serious road traffic accidents (RTAs) have been registered across the country, the Ministry of Interior's press office reported. Despite the efforts of the traffic police, the incidents claimed three lives, and 38 people sustained injuries of varying degrees.
Be careful on the road: With the onset of the autumn-winter season, the risk of accidents increases significantly.
The situation in Sofia
The capital remains a point of high traffic intensity. Over the last 24 hours in Sofia, the following were reported:
- 3 serious road accidents;
- 4 injured citizens;
- 22 minor accidents with material damage.
Data for the beginning of the month
The statistics since the beginning of the current month are alarming:
- Total number of RTAs: 278
- Number of fatalities: 16
- Number of injured: 362
Traffic police remind drivers to drive with increased caution, maintain a safe distance, and adapt to weather conditions to avoid further tragedies.
