Bloody toll on the road
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) reports grim statistics following the past 24 hours. According to the department's data, a total of 23 road traffic accidents occurred across the country.
One person died and 30 were injured in accidents over the past 24 hours.
The situation in Sofia
The capital remains one of the highest-risk areas. In Sofia, three serious and 20 minor accidents were registered, in which three people were injured and one lost their life.
Statistics since the beginning of the month and the year
- Since the beginning of the month: 395 accidents, 28 deaths, and 512 injured.
- Since the beginning of the year: 2727 accidents, 198 fatalities, and 3392 injured.
The Traffic Police urge drivers to exercise increased caution, maintain a safe distance, and drive at an appropriate speed to prevent further incidents on the road.
