Current situation at border crossings as of 6:00 AM
In the early hours of the day, traffic at Bulgaria's border crossing points (BCP) is busy in certain sections. According to data from the General Directorate of Border Police, traffic is intensive at BCP Kalotina (border with Serbia) for incoming passenger cars. It is also busy at BCP Kapitan Andreevo (border with Turkey), where movement is intensive for both incoming and outgoing passenger cars.
Important: Travelers heading to Romania should keep in mind that some ferry connections are suspended due to the low water level of the Danube River.
Information about ferry connections with Romania:
- BCP Oryahovo – Bechet: The ferry connection has been non-operational since July 10.
- BCP Svishtov – Zimnicea: Temporarily suspended operations since July 21.
Situation at other borders:
At the border with Greece, crossing is proceeding normally. Only passenger cars and vans up to 3.5 tons can pass through the Rudozem, Zlatograd, Makaza, and Ivaylovgrad checkpoints. Heavy goods traffic and buses are directed to Kulata, Ilinden, and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda.
Traffic at the border with the Republic of North Macedonia is normal at all checkpoints.
