Results of the "Automobile Administration" inspection
The initial inspection carried out by the Regional Department of "Automobile Administration" – Ruse, did not establish any technical malfunctions in the heavy goods vehicle involved in the serious accident on the Ruse – Byala road this morning. Experts have confirmed that the driver was in compliance with the regulated driving and rest times.
The tachograph data, containing information about the speed of travel at the time of the impact, is yet to be provided to the investigating authorities for further analysis.
Driver and vehicle details
- Driver: Holds a C+E category license since 2004, a valid driver qualification card until 2031, and a proper certificate of psychological fitness.
- Truck: A relatively new vehicle, in operation for about a year. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was traveling empty in the direction of the town of Byala.
